Q: What are any prerequisites?

A: We have designed these courses to be largely self-contained with few prerequisites other than your availability to spend a minimum hour each week engaging with the content.


Q: Who is the target audience?

A: The target audience includes any HR professional or IT professional. Typical job roles of attendees include Digital Learning, Employee Experience, Enterprise Learning, Global Recruiting, HR Business Partner, HR Operations, HRIS, Leadership & Development, Organizational Effectiveness, People Analytics, Performance Management, Global Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management.


Q: Will I use artificial intelligence as part of the course?

A: Yes, you will get exposure to AI in the modules of our courses. As well, when you enroll you will join an AI-powered community of HR professionals with live trending content on a range of articles curated on the topic of how AI and Machine Learning is impacting HR. This additional content will help you stay on top of the latest thinking on these trends every day. Plus, by using machine learning you can also create custom feeds based on your interests, get daily updates, and share your insights with others.


Q: What is the expected level of effort to complete these courses?

A: The courses will likely require at least one hour of effort per week to cover the basic content. Supplementary and optional advanced material is also available for each module and is designed for HR practitioners who wish to explore the applications more deeply. If you plan to cover optional content, a reasonable estimate would be one additional hour beyond the basics. The discussion boards and engagement with other HR learners will also provide you with opportunities to engage even further.


Q: What certifications are granted upon competing our courses?

A: The courses offer credits from SHRM, Training Industry, and HRCI.


Q: What type of online support is provided during the courses?

A: We’re committed to making these the most accessible and results-driven online courses for HR practitioners, filled with real world applications. We have online teaching assistants, knowledgeable of the content and trained on the platform to support you in your journey.


Q: Do I receive recognition of course completion?

A: Upon course completion you will receive a certification badge. A badge communicates three core elements: Who achieved the learning or certification? What did they do to earn this recognition? What organization stands behind this achievement? We have partnered with Acclaim from Credly to translate the learning outcomes you’ve demonstrated into an open badge.


Q: What are the benefits of an open badge?

A: Representing your skills as a badge gives you a way to share your abilities online that is simple, trusted and can be easily verified. Open badges are web-enabled versions of a credential, certification, or learning outcome which can be verified in real-time, online. Open badges provide concrete evidence of what you accomplished to earn your credential and the skills you now have in your domain of expertise.


Q: How will I know if I’ve earned a badge?

A: Each week, the requirement for attainment of the relevant digital badge will be communicated to you. Upon completion of the in-course requirements for a badge, you will receive an email notification with instructions for claiming your badge and setting up your account.


Q: Where and how can I share my badge?

A: You can share your badge directly from the badging platform to LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook; over email; embedded in a website; or in your email signature.


Q: What are course timing milestones:

A: Once registered you will receive an email with further details to get started! We will use USA Eastern Standard Time (EST) to designate deliverables and course flow. New content will be released each Monday. You are welcome to sign on and complete that week’s coursework whenever is convenient to your schedule. If you are taking a course as a part of a team, we encourage you to coordinate with your team to complete the coursework together.


Q: What happens if I miss a week and can’t complete an assignment due to travel or prior commitments?

A: Our courses are semi-asynchronous, combining the strengths of both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences. This means that there are elements of each course that will enable real time communication and collaboration during synchronous sessions while also providing built-in flexibility to allow learners to connect at each person’s own convenience and schedule through asynchronous modules.


Q: What if I need more time to complete the course?

A: If you are traveling and require more time to complete your deliverables and receive your badge, send an email to academy@futureworkplace.com outlining your request and include a suggested timing of your completion.


Q: How long after the online course ends will I be able to access the content?

A: Following the completion of each course, participants will be able to access the course materials for 90 additional days. The discussion forums will no longer be made available for new posting after the completion of the course. From time to time, we will also share recent news stories with you to highlight interesting and timely events related to the application of course material.


Q: What are the opportunities to interact with other learners?

A: Frequently throughout each course, you will be invited to comment on the posts of other learners. The discussion forums are meant to be an area where learners can interact with each other, ask questions, and share experiences and resources. We encourage you to explore various posts and contribute to a lively discussion forum​ ​community each week!


Q: Can I register a team for the online courses and can we work together as a private group? 

Yes! Our courses support social and collaborative learning with groups. You can register your team and use the “group feature” to create your own private group where your can interact, share notes, and collaborate on projects in your own dedicated workspace on the platform. Q: Is my registration/ticket transferable? What is the refund policy?

Registrations are non-refundable but you may transfer your registration to another qualified practitioner at any time prior to the start of the program at no charge.


Q: How will my registration data be used?

By registering for this program, we will use your contact information to communicate updates about the course to you. You also give permission for the course organizers to follow up with you after the course. If you wish to opt out of having your contact information shared, please contact the course organizers via email at info@futureworkplace.com.
