COURSE MODULES
This Course Features Five Modules:
Each module takes 90 minutes and includes viewing videos, reading relevant articles, answering questions, posting to our Course Gallery and collaborating with other learners. Each module also includes a deeper dive of content for those that are interested in learning more about one of the module topics.
The Five Modules include:
Module 1: Digital Transformation and The Case for Change in L&D
We explore some of the macro forces at work on the world of work and today’s L&D teams – We review some definitions of disruption, transformation, and digital transformation that we might use formulate a strategy in response.
Module 2: Optimize the Talent Team
Explore the skills, the talent, and team that you need for the future – we examine the critical skill sets for the future Talent teams including data scientists, design thinkers, computer scientists, and the role of social and neuroscience.
Module 3: Building your Learning Technology Architecture Blueprint
We document and review your existing functional learning technology stack, and review categories. We discuss the pros and cons of emerging learning tech trends. Including AI, VR, Cohort platforms and LXPs.
Module 4: Learning Program Portfolio Analysis
Why do you and your team do what you do? – How do your programs support your business and talent strategy? What is the fully loaded cost of your programs? What Business metrics could you do less and have more impact? – making the space to learn Milestone programs versus real time support programs – Start, stop, continue and Pareto analysis – How could design thinking approach rewire your programs for learner centricity? You will do portfolio analysis on your content and programs – think through alternate approaches.
Module 5: Your Impact Plan
How will you show impact for the investment in learning your company is making? You will use agile development and build a plan examining all key stakeholders and proposing a governance model for learning function. You will receive feedback from your team at your organization and from faculty and learners in this course!
