Gary Woodill is a Research Fellow for Future Workplace, and CEO of i5 Research. In 1984, Gary received his doctorate in applied psychology from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto, and in 1993, he co-founded an educational multimedia company that developed a number of educational CD-ROMs for children. In 1998, Gary led the design of an adaptable learning management system that is still in production today. From 2001 to 2006 he worked as a consultant in learning management systems, developing requirements analysis and implementation plans for a diverse range of clients, including Air Canada, Konica Minolta, and the Toronto District School Board. He developed over 60 online courses for various corporate clients in the same time period. From 2006 to early 2011, Gary was a Senior Analyst for Brandon Hall Research, and produced over 30 major research reports on subjects such as emerging learning technologies, implementation of learning management systems, collaborative learning, and mobile learning. He is the co-author of “Training and Collaboration with Virtual Worlds” (McGraw-Hill, 2009) and author of “The Mobile Learning Edge” (McGraw-Hill, 2010).
